A holiday at Tante Trude
A home for art
Large canvases, black, white, grey – colours and structures that enable you to zoom in to the picture and its essence from a distance. Using broad brushstrokes, in her ‘urban landscapes’ series produced exclusively for Tante Trude, Hannah Philomena Scheiber creates downscaled city maps – melting into abstraction, resulting in a reduction to the fundamental. Catching the eye indeed, but much more than that too. After all, life in the city was and is formative for Hannah Philomena Scheiber and her art.
Hannah Philomena Scheiber, born 1991, mother, artist and since 2017 member of the ‘Tiroler Künstlerschaft’, received right off the bat one of three – annually awarded – places at the University of Applied Art in Vienna, even before she had completed her schooling. She studied Conceptual Art with Johanna Kandl and Matteo Thun. Later going to Florence to learn about the techniques of the Old Masters. In 2016 she made New York her home and studied at SVA ‘Design for Social Innovation’ with Stefan Sagmeister and Jerry Saltz.
Today, she is a world-renowned artist and celebrated in the public domain by experts and artists alike for her paintings, ceramics and projects. This Obergurgler native has been creating ‘exclusives’ for Tante Trude and has created a unique series of pictures that tempt you to enjoy an art-inspired stroll in the apartments and in the feline.
